Manuscript consulting is designed for projects that need more than a set of edits. We begin by identifying what your manuscript needs and where you're getting stuck, then use that assessment to determine the most useful way to move forward.
Your concerns might be developmental, such as story structure, character relationships, pacing, or worldbuilding. They might be more focused on the writing itself, such as dialogue, sentence structure, flow, or prose. Or they may span several layers of the manuscript at once.
Instead of forcing your project into a predetermined editing process, consulting gives us room to focus on the problems that actually matter to your story and determine the guidance that will help you solve them.
Consulting is not a predetermined checklist of edits. I assess what is actually happening in your manuscript, listen to the challenges you are encountering, and shape the guidance around what will make the greatest difference.
My experience across fiction and screenwriting allows me to look at your manuscript from multiple storytelling perspectives, connecting developmental concerns with the writing, character, pacing, dialogue, structure, and audience experience.
The goal is not to hand you a list of problems and leave you to figure them out alone. We use the consultation to work through the findings, explore possible solutions, and give you a clearer path forward with your revisions.

Three-Pass Manuscript Consultation

Each additional pass gives us the opportunity to evaluate your revisions, reassess the manuscript, and identify what still needs attention as the story develops.
